VAR Technical, LLC is committed to providing a website that is accessible to people with disabilities, including customers, prospects, and the general public. We design and operate vartechnical.com to be usable by the widest possible audience.
Our standard
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA published by the W3C. WCAG provides recommendations for making web content more accessible to people with visual, auditory, motor, cognitive, and other disabilities.
What we do
- Use semantic HTML and proper heading structure on every page.
- Provide text alternatives for images and icons that convey meaning.
- Ensure sufficient color contrast for text and interactive elements.
- Support keyboard navigation throughout the site, including skip-to-content links.
- Label form fields and provide clear error messages.
- Test with screen readers and keyboard-only navigation as part of our development workflow.
Known limitations
We continue to improve. Some areas of the site may not yet fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA, including:
- Some product imagery and PDF documents from manufacturers may not include full text alternatives. We are working with our vendors to improve this.
- Third-party content (manufacturer datasheets, embedded videos) may not always meet our accessibility standard. We will provide accessible alternatives on request.
